Gardenia is an elegant peony variety known for its large, double blossoms that closely resemble gardenia flowers—hence the name. The blooms start out a creamy white with soft blush undertones and gradually mature to a pure ivory as they open, creating a dreamy, cloud-like effect in the garden.
This variety blooms in late spring to early summer, filling the air with a light, sweet fragrance. The flowers are densely packed with ruffled petals and are supported by strong stems, though some staking may help with the weight of the large blooms.
Bare roots sold as 5-8 eyes.
